Veterans & Mesothelioma
Veterans file nearly 30 percent of all mesothelioma lawsuits in the United States. All branches of the military relied on asbestos in the past, and builders overseas still do. As a result, veterans are more likely than others to develop asbestos-related diseases.
Veterans who are diagnosed with mesothelioma as a result of active military service are entitled to benefits from the federal government. They also may be entitled to additional compensation from the companies that sold dangerous asbestos products to the military.
